Much preparation is underway, the "crunch" is on! Concrete is scheduled to start Thursday! ( a day earlier ... ahead of schedule? ... loving the concrete company we contracted with who is from Santiago - up north) - not the typical time frame of DR jobs!
The first trucks arrived today starting the delivery of the 11,000 bags of cement we will use for the concrete mix. The drilling rig also arrived and got the water well drilled - less than 40' to water!

Leighton richards Cilantro Soup |
While we are doing the last minute prep needed for later this week, I want to thank Leighton Richards who submitted Cream of Cilantro Soup (pg 66 in the famous "Second Serving" Cookbook, 2011 edition (hint hint) from second Presbyterian Church, Roanoke) recipe.

Two DR bunches of Cilantro |
Stacy has made some batches with the abundant cilantro that we are growing at the jobsite and also available at any speedbump along the highway just east of San Juan (for a whopping 25 pesos per jumbo bunch ... 50 cents). OH, its good! :)
