It is an amazing undertaking that will help the poorest of the poor for generations: a 46,242 square foot Hospital being constructed with funding from almost 500 individuals, families, churches and other generous donors. Solid Rock International passes 100% of donations to the construction and takes 0% of donations for SRI administrative costs, which is extraordinary.

One Year Anniversary
One year ago we were celebrating Ground-Breaking, a year later the site has had a serious face-lift - removing 1/2 a meter of topsoil and adding over 2 meters of a compacted fill material. This stable base is what will support the Clinic, the closest thing we can do to provide a Solid Rock!
Ground Breaking Ceremony: November 18, 2014
Site as of November 18, 2015
We have tied over 120 miles of rebar in the foundation and it is almost ready to have over 1,200 cubic meters of concrete placed - that is over 200 concrete trucks! We have scheduled this work for the second week of December. Once this is done, two courses of concrete block will be laid for all of the walls, so "walking the clinic" will then be possible. Next week is Thanksgiving - What wonderful timing that we can celebrate that this project is rising from the ground!
Thank you for your prayers and support!
"we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
Its November 7th, the rebar work for the platea started about 3 weeks ago, and it is ahead of schedule.
Most of the structural rebar is in place, and over 90 of the 12' columns. Much work remains, specifically setting the"bastones" - these are the pieces of rebar that will project up into all of the walls to anchor them to the platea slab. They need to be located very accurately.
First - a quick video showing
what the site looks like today:
Second - a video showing details
of the rebar construction:
Finally -The picture below was taken
in between the two layers of rebar.
The rebar work should be completed by the end of November, and we hope to schedule the concrete work for early December! Once the concrete is in place, a "normal" building process will begin with concrete block being laid to define all of the walls and then plumbing and other under-floor pipes being installed.
